Dress – Akruti – Ethnic Couture; Ring – Medoso Jewelry; Watch – Micheal Kors, Shoes – Forever 21
Hey!
How are you all? I hope everybody is enjoying the month of August as much as I am, with too much on my plate! I like being busy when I am too busy and when I am in my leisure time – I am the laziest person on this planet, haha. Ethnic wear has never been my kind of a style statement but when I came across Akruti – Ethnic Couture, her high couture garments made me fall in love with her work, the colors and the prints. Every piece has amazing amalgamation of Indian textiles and weaves that add so much to the designs and makes it beautiful to wear. This piece I am wearing is from her most recent collection- Banjaara, which is inspired by the Nomadic Banjaara Tribe who came to settle in Rajasthan nearly 2300 years ago. It is a vibrant blue color gown with neon green floral embellishments on the top. Her work comprises of natural dyes, organic cottons, Ikat Weaves, Kalamkari and Jamevar Prints. She also customizes Ghagras, Sarees, Designer Blouses and Anarkalis! The whole concept changed my mind about Ethnic wear and you shall see me opting for more of it, for sure! I chose simple styling, as the beauty of the outfit lied in not over doing it.
How do you like my attire? Let me know in the comments below.
